📖 How to Use Our Random Pokémon Generator?
Our random Pokémon generator pulls live data from the official PokéAPI Pokédex, so every result is a real species with accurate types, stats, and artwork. Whether you are planning a Nuzlocke run, building a team for Pokémon Showdown, or just picking a daily challenge Pokémon, follow these steps:
⚙ Set Your Filters
Choose how many Pokémon to generate (from 1 to 10), pick a generation from Kanto to Paldea, and toggle rarity options like Legendary, Mythical, Ultra Beast, or Paradox.
🌀 Narrow by Type & Stage
Tap type buttons to include only Fire, Dragon, Fairy, or any combo. Check Fully Evolved Only to skip middle-stage Pokémon like Pikachu or Cosmoem.
▶ Hit Generate
Press Generate Pokémon to reveal cards with Pokédex numbers, type badges, base stats, gender, height, and high-resolution artwork.
🔥 Build Your Team
Click + Team to save up to six favourites, use the speaker icon to hear each name aloud, and browse past results with Back and Next.
Quick Filter Ideas
- Shiny hunt practice: Enable Shiny Mode for real 1/4096 odds, the same rate used in main series Pokémon games.
- Type challenge: Turn off all types except one, like Water or Electric, for a mono-type roulette.
- Region lock: Set "Generation / Region" to Gen 1, Kanto for a classic surprise from the original 151 Pokémon.
- Paradox raid pool: Tick Paradox to include Future and Ancient species from Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.
🏆 Why Our Random Pokémon Generator Is Better Than Others
Most random Pokémon pickers show a name or a tiny sprite and stop there. Ours is built for trainers who actually use the results, from casual fans to competitive players referencing Serebii and Bulbapedia.
Full Stat Cards, Not Just Names
Every Pokémon shows HP, Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, and Speed with colour-coded bars so you can judge strength at a glance.
Stackable Filters That Actually Combine
Mix Legendary + Fully Evolved, or Fire + Gen 3, or Paradox + Shiny Mode. The live pool counter updates so you always know how many Pokémon match.
Real Shiny Odds (1/4096)
Shiny Mode uses authentic game odds, not a fake 50/50 toggle. When a shiny appears, you know it was genuinely lucky.
Hear Every Pokémon Name
Tap the speaker on any card for natural pronunciation, handy for tricky names like Ho-Oh, Tapu Koko, or Mr. Mime.
Built-in Team Builder
Save up to six Pokémon to your team bar without leaving the page. Perfect for draft challenges, wonder trades, or party planning.
Crisp Official Artwork
High-resolution sprites from the live Pokédex, not blurry thumbnails. Cards look great on desktop and mobile.

❓ FAQ's
Yes. This generator is completely free and does not require an account. You can roll as many Pokémon as you like, build teams, hear names spoken aloud, and browse your past results without paying anything.
Yes. Select both "Legendary" and "Fully Evolved Only". When you do, "Regular Pokémon" turns off automatically, and the pool includes only final form legendaries such as Groudon, Dialga, and Miraidon. Wait until the pool counter finishes loading, then click "Generate Pokémon".
Enable "Shiny Mode" under Options. Each Pokémon in your batch then gets its own roll at the standard 1 in 4096 shiny rate used in modern main series games. Any shiny result is marked with a gold star on the card.
Yes, it works well for both. Set "Generation / Region" to a single generation, enable "No duplicate Pokémon", and choose 1 under "How Many?" to simulate one encounter at a time. Use the "Types" buttons to limit results for mono type runs. Each card shows a Pokédex number so you can track what you have caught.
The pool includes every main series Pokédex entry through Generation 9 in Paldea. Use "Generation / Region" to focus on one era. Alternate forms from Pokémon GO or the anime appear only when they are listed as separate species in the official Pokédex.
After you generate results, tap the speaker icon on any card. Your browser reads the Pokémon name aloud using built in speech synthesis with a natural sounding voice. The feature works in Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox without any extra downloads.
